What’s the First Step?

What to Expect on the Day of Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery

When you come in for your surgery, our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible. Dr Li and his staff will get you settled in the procedure room, to go over the surgical plan one final time. After everything is ready, the anesthesiologist will administer general anesthesia so that you are pain-free during the procedure.

Once sedated, liposuction will be performed via tiny incisions in the target areas to extract the fat for the buttock area. This extracted fat will then be processed before being injected into your buttock and hip areas. It is important for the fat to be only injected in the space between your skin and muscles and not your muscles or deeper. The injected fat will help create an enhanced and curvier appearance in your buttocks. After fat injections are completed, all access incisions will then be closed with stitches. Lastly, you will be placed in a compression garment to support your buttocks and areas where you had liposuction.

Post-surgery, you will be monitored in our recovery room until Dr. Li decides that you are safe to be discharged. You will need a family member or friend available to drive you home in case you are still feeling some of the effects of sedation.
