On the day of your Neck and Jawline Liposuction surgery in the San Jose area, you can expect a smooth process designed with your comfort and safety in mind. Here is what typically happens: You will arrive at our office or surgery center and be greeted by our friendly staff.
Once checked in, you will be taken to a pre-operative area, where you will change into a surgical gown. Our team will review your medical history, answer any last-minute questions, and prepare you for the Liposuction procedure.
The procedure can be performed under either local or general anesthesia. Either way, the procedure is completely comfortable for patients. Dr. Li will discuss the anesthesia options with you beforehand to determine the best choice for your needs.
After administration of anesthesia, Dr. Li will then carefully make small incisions in discreet locations underneath your chin and neck areas. A cannula will be inserted through these incisions to suction out excess fat deposits, sculpting the desired contour. Once the fat removal
is complete, Dr. Li will apply the Renuvion device underneath your skin to reduce skin laxity and tighten the skin (to read more about Renuvion, visit our Renuvion page). Incisions will then be closed with sutures. These sutures may be dissolvable or require removal during a follow-up visit.
You will be discharged to go home once you are fully awake and stable. If you had the procedure under local anesthesia without sedation, you could drive yourself home. Still, if you had any form of sedation or general anesthesia, then someone else would need to drive you home.
